Born March 18, 1956.
Graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute.
Regular participant of prestigious international exhibitions, including Biennale of Illustration in Bratislava, Slovakia (BIB 1999, 2000, 2005, 2011) and Biennial of European Illustration in Japan (BEIJ 2000
and 2001), laureate of the White Crow competition (Bologna, 2004),
Participant of the world exhibition of childrens book illustrators
in Bologna (2002). Diploma Book of the Year (2008, 2016)
In 2009, 2010, 2020 he was nominated for the Astrid Lindgren International Prize.
